Henrik Ibsens Schauspiel NORA ODER EIN PUPPENHEIM ist eines der meist gespielten Theaterstücke weltweit. Als Vertreter des skandinavischen Naturalismus legte er Wert auf eine präzise und schonungslose Beschreibung seiner Protagonist*innen, ihrer Handlungen und des Milieus, in dem sie sich bewegen. Ibsen forderte, Theater solle wie das „echte“ Leben sein, die Schaupieler*innen wie echte Menschen und die Kulisse eines Wohnzimmers wie ein echtes Wohnzimmer. Die dänische Theatergruppe Fix&Foxy nimmt ihn beim Wort und treibt seine Forderungen auf die Spitze: Sie inszenieren NORA ODER EIN PUPPENHEIM mit drei Schauspieler*innen und einem echten Paar in dessen echtem Zuhause. Um die Authentizität der Situation zu erhalten, wird das Paar nicht vorbereitet – keine Proben, keine Einführung. Das Einzige, was Nora und Torvald Helmer wissen, ist, dass sie an diesem Abend Besuch bekommen werden.

Fix&Foxy besteht aus Tue Biering und vielen kreativen Beteiligten, die gemeinsam Theater, Performances, soziale Interaktionen, Soaps und Filme produzieren. Genres sind für sie ein unerschöpfliches reichhaltiges Archiv an Vorlagen. In einigen ihrer Produktionen treten Schauspieler*innen auf, in anderen nicht-professionelle Darsteller*innen, zum Beispiel zu den Themen Sexarbeit oder Asyl. Ihre Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch Spielfreude, Poesie und soziales Engagement aus.

Henrik Ibsen’s drama A DOLL’S HOUSE is one of the most performed theatre plays in the world. As a Scandinavian naturalist, he attached importance to a precise and ruthless description of his protagonists, their actions, and the milieus in which they move. Ibsen demanded that theatre should be like ‘real’ life, the actors like real people, and a living room scenery like a real living room. The Danish theatre group Fix&Foxy takes him at his word and follows his demands to the letter: They will stage A DOLL’S HOUSE with three actors and a real couple in their real home. In order to maintain the authenticity of the situation, the couple will have no preparation – no rehearsals and no introduction. The only thing Nora and Torvald Helmer know is that they will have visitors that evening.

Fix&Foxy is made up of Tue Biering and a large group of creative participants. They create works of theatre, performances, social interactions, soaps, and movies. They consider genres to be a boundless source of templates. In some of their projects actors show up, in others non-professional performers, for example on the issue of sexwork or asylum. All of their works are marked by playfulness, poetry, and social commitment.
