Im Exil zu leben, bedeutet dem Lexikon nach „in der Fremde“ oder „in der Verbannung“ zu leben: ausgelöst entweder durch staatliche Vertreibung, Bedrohung im eigenen Land oder in Folge einer „selbstgewählten“ Auswanderung aufgrund der die eigene Existenz gefährdenden politischen Verhältnisse in der Heimat. Wer ins Exil geht, muss sich neu erfinden – muss Aufnahme suchen, Aufnahme finden – die Existenz neu begründen – neue Wurzeln schlagen.
In vielen Debatten über die Folgen weltweiter Migration wird bewusst verdrängt, dass und wie Staaten ihre Bevölkerung – die eigene und / oder auch Mitglieder anderer Bevölkerungen – diskriminieren, schikanieren oder mit dem Tod bedrohen.

According to the dictionary, living in exile means living “in a foreign country” or “in banishment”: caused either by being expelled by the state, being threatened in one’s own country or as the result of “self-chosen” emigration due to political circumstances at home that threaten one’s own safety. Those who go into exile have to reinvent themselves – they have to look for a place that will take them, find a place that will take them – start their lives over – put down new roots.
In the many debates about the consequences of global migration, people often deliberately ignore the fact that states discriminate against and persecute their own populations – their own and / or members of other populations – or threaten them with death.

Das Festival ist so geplant, dass man an einem Tag mehrere Inszenierungen hintereinander sehen kann – so entstehen verschiedene Parcours.

Mina Kavani wurde in Teheran in eine Künstlerfamilie hineingeboren, studierte Schauspiel in Paris und pendelte für ihren Beruf zwischen ihrer Heimat Iran und Frankreich. Eine Szene in einem Film der Regisseurin Sepideh Farsi wird 2015 zum Auslöser dafür, dass Kavani den Iran verlasst und seitdem in Frankreich im Exil lebt. Das Leben unter Diktatur und Zensur, das innere Exil und das Exil im Ausland, der Traum von einem freieren Leben und der Verlust des Lebensumfeldes, in dem sie aufgewachsen ist, sind die Themen dieses beeindruckenden Monologs. Kavanis kraftvolle Erzählung lässt uns in Köpfe und Herzen blicken. Ihre ebenso poetisch wie puristisch geführte Inszenierung schafft Raum für ein persönliches Schicksal, das viele teilen, denen eine Diktatur für immer auf den Fersen bleibt.
Mina Kavani was born in Tehran into a family of artists, studied Acting in Paris and for while commuted between her home country Iran and France for her job. One scene in a film from 2015 by the director Sepideh Farsi was the reason Kavani had to leave Iran and has lived in exile in France ever since. Life under dictatorship and censorship, inner exile and living in exile in a foreign country, the dream of a free life and the loss of the surroundings she grew up in are the themes of this remarkable monologue. Kavani’s powerful story gives us a glimpse inside many hearts and minds. Her production, both poetic and purist, creates space for a personal fate shared by many others, who always have the dictatorship snapping at their heels.
